VBOA 2017 Billing 2016 Report Billing 2015 Report Billing 2014 Report Billing 2013 Report Billing 2012 Report Billing 2011 Report Billing 2010 Report One of the great things about the trip to Billing is meeting so many Club members, some you haven't seen since last year, and others you have only heard about, or met on the Web Forum. By the Friday afternoon when Colin and Marilyn Scott arrived, the Club Stand (HQ) was already in operation in the form of a new “Event Shelter” donated to the Club by Sue Watt. On site were Sue Watt, Richard and Beth Watt and Brandon Smith along with Kevin Bricknall, Simon Downs and Keith and Shirley Richardson. Soon Peter Norrish arrived, then Andrew Waite and family pitched their tent. After the tents were up, the first port of call was a quick run round the Auto-jumble in case there were some early bargains to be had. Friday afternoon and most of Saturday was spent getting cars looking their best, (although the baking sunshine made polishing an impossible task) looking round the other Club stands and generally socialising. Saturday night we had the Quiz, a joint effort between Jane Miller and Kevin Bricknall (somehow won by Wales!) and an extremely funny tape produced by Ian Broadway. After that a pleasant few hours were spent round the “camp-fire” before bed called (after all, there was another day ahead). Sunday was Judgement Day, both Club and Show. The results appear below, but congratulations to Keith and Shirley Richardson on their immaculate Mk.2 Cavalier which was the Club entry to the Chairman's Cup. Many more members appeared on the Club Stand on Sunday, making a very presentable show with all three generations of Cavalier and four Chevettes (Chevette attendance at Billing has sadly declined; we now average 5 to 10, although having said that we did only have 7 Cavalier Mk.1 this year), including the cars of some of the new members we gained over the weekend. A successful raffle and auction were held, with some excellent prizes on offer. And then, all too soon, it was time to pack up and leave. See you next year!
