Vince Poole, an old-fashioned English gentleman of the best sort.
It is with the greatest of regret that the Club sends out this bulletin to inform you of the sudden and
untimely death of our much-respected Chairman, Vince Poole, on 26th August, at the early age of
72. It is our sad duty to have to tell you that Vince died of a heart attack suffered in a village near
his home in Northwich, Cheshire. His friends on the Committee and in the wider Club are all very
distressed at the news. He was not merely the Club’s senior elected officer, but a good personal
friend to us.
The Club will be represented at his funeral on 21st September at Vale Royal Crematorium.
Until such time as matters can be otherwise arranged, the Vice-Chairman, Jane Miller, will be acting
in the role of Chairman at Committee Meetings and in other necessary official matters connected
with the Club.

Director Muir Mackay said: “It was an absolute pleasure to have the Cavalier and Chevette Club call
in at Mackays on their Ruby Run. Their cars were in amazing condition, running as sweet as the day
they were new and bear in mind these cars were getting on for 40 years old. It was really nice that
they recognised Mackays long pedigree with Vauxhall Motors. www.scottishvauxhall.co.uk
