Myself and my Mum with Poppy arrived in Lou, Beth arrived in Custard early Friday morning approx. 7am to find it was raining quite fast, luckily club friend and Billing organiser John Ankerman allowed to us to take shelter in the V.B.O.A headquarters. Once it had stopped raining we started to set up the club stand, Simon and Pete had arrived on Thursday afternoon so they was already to lend a hand with setting up. Once the club stand was all done, it was time to relax and have a wander, there was lots of people arriving and soon it want long before our club members arrived in no particular order on Friday we had Mark and Gillian Sweetman in Clock Work Orange Chevette, Ian Kimpton with his splendid Carlton Mk1, John Corbett with his stunning Cavalier Mk3, Andrew Braban with his Bedford CF Motor home, Andrew Waite and family arrived in his Ford Escort Mk3, Marilyn Scott in a wonderful Cavalier Coupe ( shocked.com ) Colin Scott in Charlie, Keith Richardson in his Cavalier Mk2 and Janet Richardson in her Cavalier Mk3, Paul Ellson sadly without his Chevette. There was lots of interest in the 40th Anniversary celebrations of the Cavalier Mk1 and Chevette for 2015 and Marilyn and Colin Scott’s Ruby Run. We managed to join up 4 new club members and the raffle and Auction raised the club £155.00, must just say a massive thank you to everyone who contributed to both the raffle and auction. I would like to thank Bricknall’s PC Services for sponsoring the Plaques for Billing 2014. If I have left any club member out of the attendance list, I apologise. I hope both old and new club members enjoyed Billing 2014. All the Best Richard Watt
